I previously wrote about adding an author byline to your wordpress posts if you use Standard Theme. I recently updated my installation and realized that my old tip was out of date. So here’s the update, after the break.
You will need to go to your WordPress admin panel, and click “Editor” under the “Appearance” side-menu. Once there you will need to edit 3 files: loop.php, loop-image.php, and loop-video.php.
For each file, find the line that reads
Then, add the following code immediately BEFORE that line:
<?php _e('By','standardtheme'); ?> <span class="the_author"> <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> </span> <?php _e('on','standardtheme'); ?>
